I’m Tara Teich, an executive coach and former engineering leader.

I began my career as a software developer in the video games industry. From a young age, I loved the problem solving and creativity inherent in creating software. I had the great fortune to contribute to 12 games, including both a Star Trek and a Star Wars title.

Next, I joined Apple as a member of the iOS Software Performance team. I learned about working in a large company, while having the opportunity to contribute to key systems across iOS including Springboard, Mail, Messages, and Maps. I was the performance DRI for the initial Apple Watch, then joined Maps as a manager.

My journey continued at Stripe, where I was the first mobile team manager. I learned about building a culture and a product through my work on our engineering onboarding program, as well as co-leading the women and non-binary ERG.

My next role was as the VP of Engineering at LTSE. This is when I started to realize that though I love building products, I wanted to focus my time on building people. The accomplishments that resonate the most for me are the people who’ve gotten the promotion or learned the new skills they needed.

In 2021, I began my coach training through Co-active and became a full-time coach in early 2022.
